What we accept

We only accept ideas, scripts and illustrations that are submitted over the official pages located on HAPSIE.com - you can find links to these on the contribution page. We cannot accept any contribution over email, social, post or other means!

After you've submitted

Once you have submitted the entry lies with the HAPSIE team. Either the current HAPSIE editor, team member or a trusted contracted team member will review the work. Whether a work is accepted or not is solely at the discretion of the HAPSIE team. Usually you will hear back from us within 3 months of submission, but this will be longer or shorter depending on the number of contributions received and the availability of the team to consider unsolicited contributions.

If the contribution is accepted you will be contacted by a team member and notified, at this point when/If it gets published you will be contacted about payment.

If the contribution is not accepted we will try and contact you but it may not always be possible. We will not use your contribution if it is not accepted.

Payments are made via BACS, or in rare occasion PAYPAL. We do not accept any responsibility for 3rd party fees that made be taken. We will require you to submit your payment details at the time payment is due.

If your account is a non GBP account we will make a conversion via a reputable service (e.g. wise.com) bit cannot guarantee the final amount you will recieve.

We only pay out when your balance is greater than 25 GBP. If you have a balance of under 25 GBP and the date of the last addition to your balance is older than 6 months, you can contact us to push through the payment manually.

Copyright and Protection

All contributions must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. HAPSIE accepts no liability if entrants ignore these rules and entrants agree to fully indemnify HAPSIE (and Pyroplast Energy Ltd) against any claims by any third party arising from any breach of these rules resulting from their contribution.

By submitting a contribution entrants warrant that they have legal capacity to submit a contribution and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The copyright of all scripts sent to HAPSIE rests with you, the contributor. You do not need to formally copyright work before you send it in to us. Contributors are often anxious that their work may be stolen or plagiarised. However, similarities in writers' ideas, material, and scripts occur surprisingly often.

In the event that HAPSIE accepts a contribution (Idea, Script or ILLUSTRATION), on confirmation to you that the latest rate-care payment at the time of submission will be added to your balance in exchange for HAPSIE using it, you accept that this automatically grants us a perpetual, world-wide, royalty-Free right to use your work in any medium we choose, be it paid or unpaid.

HAPSIE receives many contributions, and similarities of subject matter often occur. We cannot undertake to compensate you if material similar to yours, received coincidentally from another source, is subsequently commissioned or produced.

HAPSIE cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of posted scripts or for any delay in its return for whatever cause.

HAPSIE will only ever use personal details for the purposes of contacting people for the contribution. Please see the HAPSIE Privacy Policy.

If you have provided a credit we can use, we have the right to use this on all relevant contributions at our discretion.
